The 2021 Jones Mountain Twin has a longer effective edge and spoon tech in the nose tail making it for an easier turning poppier ride than past models. We didn't ride 2020 Jones Mountain Twin but other than a change to a more eco-friendly resin and a slightly updated core it's the same ride as before. At a 21.5 wides stance width the YES Standard can give you a 4.5 difference between nose/tail, or a 2.25 set back from the center of the board. Missing pop some YES boards Have. If you ride in icy conditions a lot it can hang but you would probably want something stronger like an aggressive magnetraction board. The YES Standard does this better than most all-mountain boards because of this setback and the reduced volume in the tail. The only issue here is the Slam back inserts require a full size disc binding. The mountain twin is $120 more than the other two, is it worth the extra price? Precious Good Ride dollars were spent to buy this and review it. Almost excellent grip and just a shade behind YES underbite technology. For jumping, this board has a nice, predictable pop to it. When you get the YES Standard on edge it isnt very satisfying turning experience. When on reference the YES Standard rides like a true twin on sidecut. Near Excellent Edge Hold. Riders: James, Peter, Jimbo, Mike You add all this rocker and the tail with less surface area you get a little bit of that tapered feel in powder that freeride boards have.
